Research: crisis in the USA has occurred because of loaners’ poor awareness
2 February 2008More than half of the American house owners, who have not paid mortgages, did not know, that banks can help to avoid it imposing collecting. Such information is has been represented in the research lead Freddie Mac and Roper Public Affairs and Media.
The research has shown, that 57 % from 2,411 thousand interrogated house owners did not suspect about an opportunity of work with the delayed debts, which includes new plans of payments and new contracts with the facilitated terms.
Loaners’ poor awareness has improved slightly since 2005, when the quantity of unaware loaners made 61 %, despite of attempts of the credit organizations, hypothec services and advisers to come into contact.
As nonpayments under the mortgage cause huge losses, financial institutions prefer to agree with reception of the smaller income, having softened terms for loaners.
As the vice-president Freddie Mac. has noted, too many unreliable borrowers still do not know, that their services usually provide alternatives which can help to keep their houses.
Credit services could not contact borrowers in more than the half of cases.
