IMF: world credit crisis can be aggravated
13 March 2008The international currency fund (IMF) considers that world credit crisis can be aggravated, and Central banks all over the world should be ready for acceptance of the widest spectrum of steps for protection of economy.
According to IMF specialists now there are fears, that the risk of the further escalation of credit crisis grows, and for strengthening positions of economic and a world financial system resolute monetary and credit measures will be required.
However, there will be a lack of monetary and credit measures, and possible steps, including participation of means of the state budgets are required.
Burst in the past year crisis in sector of the risky mortgage in the USA has poured out in scale shocks in the world credit markets, has caused numerous bankruptcies and has compelled the central banks of the leading countries of the world to throw out for the markets of hundred billions dollars.
However, these measures have appeared insufficiently and economists expect delay or even recession of US economy.
